I worry he’s gonna be a reboot of Tyler Young

I'll put my hand up and say I wasn't impressed with his game on Friday night. Poor decisions meant he put his teammates under immense pressure too often.

I thought he panicked a lot and turned it over a lot.

There is a play that stood out
When he handballed to the wrong option through the centre .. it was beyond horrible ..

As I posted in the Injury update thread I know I'm in the minority but struth the reactions ans comments in this thread are over the tip.

Talk about damn if you, damn of you don't,

We are talking about the Cubs who are the future of our Club.

And after last year witnessing players getting rushed back and then re-injuring it would seem that's what some want so they can pot anyone and everyone at the Club

Lalor has hurt (strained) the hammy that he severely injured last season. The kid's 18 and his body is getting used to the rigorous of AFL footy. But let's not make sure we get him 100% right, let's just go 21 days and see how we go  ::)

if i recall you defended the previous clown also until he could no longer be defended.

Im not saying get rid of him, despite his poor start in the job. What i am asking of the club, and in particular him why was he managed in the forward line?

If they were that worried why play him at all off a 5 day break?

They have managed him poorly this time, so of course they want to be conservative so not to stuff him up again.

In the quote above you say he’s likely to miss 3, but then sarcastically say that let’s get him out there after 21 days, which is it?

Personally I prefer the conservative path, I like what they’re doing with smillie. I think the major concern is that he’s injured in the first place. My 2 cents

You've misunderstood my post probably due to my sarcasm. I think they should be conservative. Have and will continue to back and applaud them for going down that path.

My sarcasm was a dig at those complaing about how he's going to be managed. Those who seem to want to not get him 100% right and just do the stock standard 21 days so they can pot the Club and in particular Serpell

While there is plenty of focus on Richmond’s recent rich national draft haul, with six of the first 23 picks in 2024, and the class of 2021, where the Club had five selections inside the top 30, two Tiger picks in the 40s are starting to show some promising signs at senior level.

Kane McAuliffe, who was recruited by Richmond with its first pick (No. 40 overall) in the 2023 national draft and Kaleb Smith, the Club’s first pick (No. 49 overall) in the 2022 draft, were impressive in last Friday night’s Dreamtime at the ‘G clash.

McAuliffe returned to senior action for the Tigers three weeks ago and has grabbed his opportunity with both hands.

The 20-year-old, left-foot midfielder is averaging 18.3 disposals, 6.3 contested possessions, 3.7 marks, 6.0 tackles, 3.0 inside-50s, 3.7 intercepts, 4.7 score involvements and 225.3 metres gained in his three games at AFL level this season.

He has collected 20 disposals-plus the past two games – 22 v North Melbourne in Round 10 and 21 v Essendon in Round 11.

Along with the 21 disposals against the Bombers, he also had six marks, a team-high six tackles, five intercepts, five score involvements and 189 metres gained.
