Cambo on SEN:
* Been a long preseason as being a bottom side you start in October. Working hard and diligently. Hope to see some of those results on Saturday in the NAB Cup.
* Year of transformation - redevelopment at Punt Rd, new CEO, new coaches, 14 new players. Don't excpect to gel from day one. It's going to be a longer term approach as Dimma has talked about. No more quick fixes. Don't need to tell Richmond supporters to be patient.
* Can't replace players like Richo and co. quickly. He was though at the Bulldogs when Darcy, Grant and Smith retired and they made the PF the year after. No expectations and no talk of finals but you never know.
* Hardwick has come in with a plan. Highly regimented gameplan - follow it and you'll get a game; don't and you won't.
* Martin - play this weekend. No concern with his size. Up to him after this weekend to maintain a spot in the side but he's been impressive so far.
* Forward line - Polak, Jack, Nahas, Jake King. By 3-4 rounds in supporters will see a fairly regimented style.
* If a cub is performing at VFL level we won't be afraid to put them in.
* 4 rucks on our list. Simmo was doing well before Xmas before copping a niggle. Won't play this week. Lade full-time ruckman and midfield coach. Vickery won't be 20 rounds full on in the ruck but we'll try to get as many minutes as we can.
* Astbury - profile is outstanding. Character. Got some tricks. Played a couple of quarters and while still a little while away he did some clever things. If he performs at VFL level he'll get a shot.
* Grimes - had our induction weekend and comes from a top family. He won't die wondering. Constantly asking questions of our backline coach Justin Leppitsch.
* Cotchin - fitness staff have done a fantastic job. Trains twice a week rather than the others three. Regemented training style. All about strengthing his tendons as he grows. He played on the weekend and we'll play this Saturday night.
* Foley - was struggling a bit. Had operation about 7 days ago and went better than expected. Will start running in a week. Whether he plays round 1 no sure at this stage.
* Tuck - disappointing end last year. Diligent worker. Will be given every opportunity. Is fit.
* We aren't going to put things in terms of wins/losses. But we believe we will improve this year. How that's measured wont be in wins/losses at this stage. Hope supporters will see that improvement down the track.
* You need some positive reward for all your hard work. Round 1 last year we not only lost after believing we could win but got absolutely smashed and it takes it out of you.
