someone on another board kept on talking about ground zero i think hes wrong. ground zero is at the vero bottom when you have finally bottomed out imo we are yet to bottom out. two reasons. we still have far to many that we need to give the flick and our lack of experience means imo things will get worse before they get better. in saying this though i believe we are on the right track we have to do what needs to be done  a bit more short term pain for what will hopefully be long term gain. but thats just it we should be looking long term.

Tend to agree here I think we will bottom out next year when we flick another 10-12 and bring in another wave of young kids to develop.

I'm not sure we will bring on so many next year.  Its a very hit and miss process recruiting, on a good year you keep 60% of the players and 14 was a lot.  I'd suspect only 8-10 changes next year but we shall see how the current crop go.

I would not expect another 4-5 player change, that would be too low and would probably kill Hardwicks coaching career in the long run.

But I agree we will probably bottom out this year and not do too well the next either.  But hopefully we will see some system.

Collins has a long way to go. Gets caught way to often.

Correct, also his defensive side of his game is non existant

Had 8 tackles last night.   Best of any of our players.

He did get caught ahead of the ball a bit too much but he still easily did his quota of defensive work.

Tackles are not an indicator of your defensive side of the game.
Each player plays on a player not in a position.
Collins often pushes too far forward of the ball and continually get caught out on the rebound.Having 8 tackles doesnt mean that he is good defensively, especially when his immediate opponent if 50 metres from him when they have possesion. Each player is accountable which Collins aint.
Saying that, I think the kid has potential but he wll need to have improved 25% from last year
It is not Collins fault if we turn over the ball and he gets caught on the rebound!
Also, if he's opponent is 50 meters away from him doesn't suggest that he's opponent is not being accountable also? How can a footballer push too far forward and yet have his opponent 50 metres away? Isnt that good to lose your opponent by 50 metres?
Its seems to me that opposition teams sweat on our mistakes (which is quite smart) and catch us on the rebound! Blame the ball carrier not Collins!
