R.I.P. Johnny Warren
« on: November 08, 2004, 04:49:59 AM »
 :'(  :'(  :'(

One of the few shining lights for Australian soccer over all these years with his passion for the game in the face of basketcase administrators and Socceroo failures.

Condolences and sympathies to his family.

R.I.P Johnny.

A true soccer person who's commentary on the game was a pleasure to listen to.  Was totally switched on as to how to play the game and I was amazed he never coached the socceroos.  It's a shame he passed away just before Soccer Australia seems to have gotten it's act together with the introduction of a proper national league.

Soccer and it's fans will miss you.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Don't know much about soccer but it's a shame that Australia loses one of its key figures in the sport. R.I.P.
