There is no realistic debate here - LIds by a country-mile on talent, skills and, most importantly in these such comparisons, achievements.

At better comparison would be between Lids and Buddy.

Stripes

buddy=match winner
Lids is not.......yet

Buddy by a mile at this stage

Deledio would kick 80+ goals a year if he played for Hawthorn or Footscray IMO ..

If he can't break a tag with us why would he with another?

He's a spoilt little baby.

at this pt in time , deledio is not even goggards shoe laces

goddard has that competitive , the desire to win and backs his own skill . he takes the game on , does not play in his shell or comfort zone as lids does

if lids dared to take the game on he could be as good as goddard
To be fair, Goddard took a pretty long time in a pretty good team to become a good footballer, he's about to turn 25 now.
Statistically both Brett's 4th & 5th years were better than Goddard's 4th, 5th & 6th years in the game. Goddard had to be moved to the half back line to turn him into a decent footballer, Brett's been played everywhere doing multiple roles in a crap team as a forward, midfielder and half back.

He'd have players around him that would take some of the pressure off.

l have yet to see Deledio hurt any side, He will never kick 80 goals in any side cause his a lazy prick
When was the last time a 188cm midfielder/utility ever kicked 80 goals in a season?

Goddard would kick 80 goals if St Kilda left him in the forward line.

Deledio would do the same in a top 4 team

at this pt in time , deledio is not even goggards shoe laces

goddard has that competitive , the desire to win and backs his own skill . he takes the game on , does not play in his shell or comfort zone as lids does

Rubbish.

Most of last year when Goddard was at his best he was playing on a back flank / loose back for the Saints and kicking ass. If Deledio was in the same role for St Kilda in 2009 he would have had a massive season. Deledio is not that far behind the like of Goddard or Cooney, if at all.

 * Goddard is in a team with the like of Sam Fisher, N Reiwoldt, Gardiner, Hayes etc.
good players who are more mature than him.

  * Deledio plays with the like of Rance, J Reiwoldt, Vickery, Edwards etc.
footballers who are younger than Deledio and he is expected to be the leader.

Do you really not understand how this makes a difference??
