RICHMOND is on the brink of securing two of its brightest stars to long term contracts.
Goalkicking sensation Jack Riewoldt, 21, and brilliant first-year midfielder Dustin Martin, 19, are expected to sign deals as soon as next week.
The pair's prized signatures would be a major coup as it is expected to put them beyond the reach of cashed-up expansion clubs Gold Coast Suns and Greater Western Sydney.
Richmond president Gary March, who has hosted Martin in his first year at Punt Rd, said the club was confident of locking the two away.
"We are pretty confident both him (Martin) and Jack Riewoldt will re-sign shortly,'' March said on Triple M.
