Less than 24 hours to go ....
« on: October 10, 2010, 03:06:04 PM »
Under 24 hours to go under tomorrow's 2pm Trade Week deadline.

Do you think we have any more trades up our sleeve other than possibly Houli?

I think we have a few we'd like to see the back of, but they have next to no worth on the market.

We might try work something out with GC for a pre-listed player or get that compo pick upgraded.

Love to see our compensation pick upgraded as I believe will will use it this year regardless. Looking like the Thursfield deal will not go through as Collingwood is playing hardball and may hope to get Tarrant in the ND like they did last year. I was hoping Polo would go in the Houli deal but it looks like our third round pick will be used in this trade instead.

I'm curious to know what the Tigers have planned to use for their PSD given they don't seem to be making plans to use it on Houli.

Given all the midfielders we are gaining during trade week what's the chances we will go for Tom Lynch or Gorriage (sp?) instead of a midfielder?

Interesting trade period but I hope we see a little more action as long as it is to secure more picks instead of losing them.

We've lost Cuz, Bling and Collo. Our stocks of outside mids wasn't great to start with. I'm thinking we need all the mids we can get in the draft.

Is Polo worth anything - Should of offered him and a 3rd rounder before Andy  :banghead

True Muscles. We've lost 3 mids and gained 1 and we lacked depth in the midfield to start with. A shame we haven't moved one of Thursty or McGuane on to gain an extra pick. Oh well there's still time  :pray. At the moment we have roughly picks 6, Compo, mid 30s, early 50s, etc.

Polo's trade value would be zilch sadly. A couple of years ago he may have had some when he was still young enough to attract another club's interest but after 6 years in the system and stuck playing VFL unable to break into a side that lost its first 9 games it's delist time. If another club wants to give Deano a second chance they'll get him cheaply late in the draft.

Nahas is another one who should be moved on but he's contracted so we can do that via a trade which ain't going to happen. His 2010 was forgettable and showed he's not up to AFL level.

Do you really believe that Polo and others were not offered up before andy ( Who was requested, not offered up)?

The only reason Richmond would not have offered up Polo would because they don't want to suffer the embarrassment of being laughed at.

Strong draft for mids fortunately.
Don't forget Axel's return to go with Grigg.
