Apples & Oranges - Infamy

MCG = 100k capacity venue

Subi = 45k capaicity

Different organisation running the venues.

MCC for the MCG and IIRC the WAFL controls Subi & the Eagles so they have all the control

As I said I am not sure how it would be cost effective for the amount of work that would need to go into it

AFL and MCC won't allow it.

they will want patrons to buy reseved seats through them (and hence the money goes to them)

Have had a response from the club on this suggestion.

You are right on the ball WP (supply & demand) - well done!

Thank you for taking the time to send in your email.

This is a great idea, however at this present time demand doesn’t meet supply. This arrangement works well for Clubs such as Geelong, Adelaide and West Coast Eagles who have more people wanting seats than they do seats. With the MCG as home ground we are about 15,000 reserved seat holders away from having this problem.

It is however in the planning for the future, probably post 2014.

thanks for all the stuff guys.

Cheers & GO TIGERS!!!

How's this for an idea:

Have been a Tiger supporter my whole life, but only a member for the past 4 years (23 years old) when I had a full time job and could afford it. Now if I was offered an opportunity to 'buy' years on my membership to say move that 4 years up by a few I would jump at it, would the club ever offer something like that?  :thumbsup

It would look a bit suss if a whole bunch of supporters in their 20s and 30s had 50+ consecutive year Y&B memberships with GF ticket guarantee  ;D.

I'd doubt the Club would allow people to upgrade the number of years as a member as people could abuse it by dropping out when the team is struggling before hopping on the bandwagon again as so as the team came good and then buying more membership years to pretend they were a member during the tough times. The recognition program is designed to encourage and reward consecutive years as a member through good and bad times (mostly bad over the past 30 years  :P). I guess another byproduct of it now is it also encourages parents to sign up their kids up as members at birth so they will reach plantinum RFC member status by their mid-20s rather than having to wait like you and I JVT until we are cranky old buggers in our late 40s and 50s  :laugh:.

Why should a multi-million dollar buisness ask for money from the outside. If my buisness was going bad no-one or Richmond would help me so they lost me when they sent the paperwork, l joined at another buisness  ;D  :thumbsup
