Here's the official MRP report...

Dylan Grimes, Richmond, has been charged with a Level One tripping offence against Leroy Jetta, Essendon, during the third quarter of the Round Nine match between Richmond and Essendon, played at the MCG on Saturday May 21, 2011.

In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from Essendon, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 80 demerit points and a reprimand. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record.

Contest it? Cop 1 weekend wipe the slate clean? He's injured for 4 weeks anyway.

Pointless having 60 points carry over.

Contest the charge.

The video says it all unfortunately. Definitely a trip. Just cop the 60 and move on.

he was falling to the ground and had his arm out....soft charge.

just challenge it with a chance to wipe it off.  gonna be out for weeks anyway due to injury.  may as well "risk" the 1 week.

Absolute stuffing joke this MRP is, I suggest people go back a couple weeks and watch Conca get tripped against Freo in the same manner Jetta was on Saturday yet nothing came of that.

The MRP is so inconsistent it's beyond a joke.  :banghead :banghead :banghead

"held his arm out"? Yes but he actually grabbed Jetta's ankle

The MRP are hopelessly incionsistent that cannot be disputed but they got this one right
