Positives from today's game?
« on: June 25, 2011, 08:44:27 PM »
We played rubbish yet still were in the game until the last 5-10 minutes.

Vickery continuing to be our leading goalkicker the past few weeks.

Any other positives?  :-\

Staying in the contest, even if we weren't really in it from halfway through the first term... if you know what I mean.  :-\ It looked at times we were going to be smashed.

Vickery.

The tackling in the last quarter.

The fact that we only lost by 5 goals when over the past decade we would have lost by 10 goals performing like that. A sign that at least we're not giving up.

well we peppered the points for ten minutes in the first quarter as well WP so you could argue we could of broken their hearts early if we were accurate...

Showing  no respect to players like Miller & letting him get 25 metres away from his opponant was what broke the tiger tail & he kicked Melbournes 2nd. That was clearly the time the tails went between the legs cause the players were too cocky & disrespected thier direct opponant & turned thier attention to teammates not following the rules. Cocky players who think because they win one week that the next will be easy. They better beat Carlton this week  :banghead They owe us members the best team effort they can produce & l want that effort to be against the scummiest cheating club in the league

That's not how I saw it monk, I saw tired players who were not running nearly as much as they had in the past, they all looked shagged and the ring ins were not up to it.

Eaxactly - I posted about this somewhere else. We had them in the first 15 minutes and we stuffed up

We kick straight and are say 5.1 instead of 2.4 or whatever it was and there's a good chance the result is different

Makes the loss all the more hard to take; for me at least
