Summary
* Pretty happy with how his preseason is going. Hasn't missed a session. Improving each training session and getting more knowledge. Jelling with those training down back with him.
* Definitely a lift in standard. A couple of boys coming in this year have slotted straight in and lifted the standard and those of the last couple of years have improved on last year. Across the board there's been an improvement in the standard of training lead by Newy and Lids.
* Over preseason worked on a few areas. Being consistent. Relative to AFL footy he's young. Putting on lean functional muscle and reduce the body fat caused by putting on too much weight too fast too early which effected his speed and endurance.
* Those who get through 90-100% of preseason seem to get through the season and are going as strong late in the year as early on. They seem to have that pace to fall back on as the season later on gets tougher.
* Good to get games in the one position. Didn't think he was thrown about as much as some others made out. He was moved about a bit in his first two years but was more settled last year. Form just was good enough to cement a spot in the seniors. Going back in defence at Coburg he gained confidence and that flowed into the seniors. We won a few games later in the year which helped by being in a winning environment.
* Plans to train well and hopes to remain in defence. Hopes by March he isn't back up forward.
* Wants to be part of a winning side. So if he can contribute towards that then he'll be happy.
