BRISBANE has made the ultimate pledge to its fans - the Lions will be the premier by 2016.

The club has also vowed to build the competition's best high-performance headquarters, have more than 32,000 members and be debt-free with an annual turnover of $50 million.

The Towards 2016 strategic plan sets aggressive benchmarks in six key performance areas that the football side and administration will be judged against.

It is a bold move because failure to meet the objectives would make the board, coach and senior office bearers' roles untenable.

But coach Michael Voss said he had been craving this type of direction, while CEO Malcolm Holmes said it could be the most important document in club history.

Last time I heard them talking about premierships they lt crazy vossy loss on the trade table and we all know how that turned out  :rollin
