I have no idea and I don't think there is one ... or has been ... love to know because I can see any!
Can you describe any teams game plan? My guess is you can describe portions of it but we really don't know looking from the outside. From my observations, we are following the Collingwood trend of forward pressure, playing on, moving the ball quickly off the half back and through the corridor where possible before kicking it long to a deep target who either takes the grab or spills the ball to our crumbers/midfielders. We use forward pressure to try and create scoring opportunites if a point is scored or the ball gets into opposition hands.
To achieve this we need good ball users who are confident enough to take risks to cut through the oppositions zone (something we have lost confidence in with young players, opposition pressure, underperforming team-mates etc) recently. Our forward pressure has dropped and our marking options up forward diminished reducing our confidence to kick it long additionally.
Our backline hasn't the experience or understanding of each others game to get their act together as a team when defending and looks all at sea when the ball spills to ground. Individually, on there direct opponent, the back talls have stood up, but it is this lack of communication and understanding of each others game that has caused the confusion and opportunity for the oppositions small farwards to carve us up. Additionally, moving the ball out of the backline quickly has become a problem with our defensive team fearful of turning the ball over and unsure who to give it too the run the ball out. Basically, our defence is a group of individuals at present through no fault of their own.
Our midfield is working well moving the ball through the corridor and is zoning/defending well but our inability to get first touch on the ball through our rucks is killing us in our clearance work. Last week Tucky was a star at getting the ball but this did not help us clear the ball into space. His work was hurried and pressured but with Cotch the lone hand otherwise, we haven't a player who is winning the stoppages and then using it well, otherwise. Martins hitting the second year blues and Jackson is horribly out of form. Edwards is not cutting it and Conca and Helbig are babies and getting tired as the year progresses.
So we have a game plan (well at least from what I can see). It's not over complicated like Plough's used to be and is one that is best suited to our stage of development. We just need the players to execute it properly which is tough when we have so many injuries, inexperienced campaigners, players out of form and lack of time to build the confidence and understanding in each others style of play.
No game plan written could have helped us over the last few weeks.
