Mighty Tiges, according to our friend, all of the players still on the rookie list are going to get the chop at season's end. If this is true, the one that surprises/disappoints me the most is Pat Contin.
Remember the raps on him in the pre-season from Dimma? How he was burning on the training track, how his work rate was up with the best at the club, and how he was going to be the surprise packet? What happened to all that? After Miller, the next one to be elevated was Hislop FFS  :banghead. I had really hoped Contin's solid form at Coburg the past few weeks (at least) might have been enough to have a bit of a look at him at senior level.
Yep we promoted the future in Miller and Hislop  :scream  :help.

If Contin gets cut then he's severely hard done by. Still only 20 and was in hot form for Coburg towards the end of the season. As for the others - Derickx we haven't seen all year due to his ankle so I'd guess his future depends on whether we pick up a mature ruckman during the trade period (apparently we are  :whistle ); Hicks, Jakobi and Westhoff aren't up to it so no surprise if they get cut.

Sheesh nice game pinch right there...  So what has been the issue with Westhoff, no injuries or anything like that?
Two years on our rookie list and still in the VFL ressies (bar the last two Coburg senior matches). Westhoff just isn't going to make it as he hasn't come on from when he first arrived at Punt Rd.

No disrespect to your "friend" but unless he/she is on the list management committee or works at the club then how would they know? I doubt very much they would be on the list management committee which makes one think they either work at the club or knows someone who works at the club.

Although I doubt it is true can I say that if it is someone who works at the club they should be sacked immediately as they shouldn't be giving out this sort of info to anyone. And the fact that i am sitting here typing this reply is the main reason they should be sacked  :banghead :banghead Will our club ever learn :banghead :banghead

And BTW the reason Hislop was promoted before Contin was at the time Contin was injured and not playing .... it was a bad call but in the end probalbly a good call because it just proved even with a full pre-season Hissy isn't up to AFL standard
