That we as supporters judge footballers purely on what they do on the ground (or don't do might be more apt  ) whereas the Club sees what each player does and adds to the Club off-field.

Every club has its favourites who aren't the best players but are classed within the inner sanctum as 'the heart and soul of the team' footballers. So whereas some of us see Jacko and Kingy as types we need to replace to get better; the inner sanctum loves them being around the place and how they may get the best out of others and so gives them each another two-year contract  .
