Just got in from the Season Launch at Encore down at St Kilda

I have to say it was one the best functions the Club had put on in a long time

Well done to the team that put it together  :thumbsup

Any other goss mentioned apart from the Dimma's contract extension WP?

Not really that was the big one

Benny Gale said that in the next couple of months there will be a couple of announcments about the next stage of fundraising for the FTF. They are planning something big for June but they didn't say what

Vision of Gary March and Dimma's speeches at the season launch ....

http://bigpondvideo.com/RichmondTV/430976/Hardwick%20on%20contract%20renewal/

* A great honour to coach this footy club. Very appreciative of Gary March and his board for making the decision. It’s funny how emotional you get when a something like this happens, and it just goes to show how much it means to me, the players and the Club.

* The contract extension is a real tick for our football department. It’s so much more than the head coach these days. The amount of time and effort that our footy department, as well as our administration, put in is astronomical. It’s something they need to be congratulated on.

* The great thing about our footy club is the way that our process was carried out. Not at one stage did anyone stray from the dialogue we had, and it’s a true reflection of the Club, its beliefs and, more importantly, the values it’s going to be built on.

* As a team our running capacity has improved and not sure if the jumpers are tighter this year but the boys are physically bigger and stronger. Tackle and contested footy stats are on the up.

* Our depth has improved with the players we've brought in - Ellis, I.Maric, A.Maric, Morris all are in line to play round 1 - plus the development of last year's crop - Conca, Batchelor and Helbig.

* Chris Newman is big on this - our jumper is our armour!

* They call our draw the draw of death - bring it on!
