No one has mentioned him but when Simmonds went down he was finally in good form and giving our midfielders first use. The season he went down with that clot and Patto had to take the number one ruck role was disasterous for our club. We were once again looking like we were finally on the improve and then the dreaded Injury curse struck.

Just goes to show how long it has been since we have had any sort of depth to the side too that losing these players have hurt us so much  :help

Easily Richo in 1995, I firmly believe we could have beaten Carlton with Richo in the side.  Would have kicked 100 goals that year.
The other huge loss that year was Stuart Wigney. He was on fire in 95 flogging Carey in round 4.  Was never fully fit after breaking his ankle in the same game.  Michael Gale also was badly injured in this Swans game (the game from hell).  Was our best (only) chance for a premiership in the past 30 years

Agree though that Browny was also a big loss.  I remember we played the Eagles at the G the week after and went down by 2 points then fell away very very badly losing confidence.
