Speaking to the media on Thursday, the Tigers coach agreed with Richmond fans getting excited, with the club reaching 50,000 members for 2012 this week.
"The people come and they enjoy the style of footy that we play and they enjoy the effort and the endeavour the boys put in and I'm no different," Hardwick said.
"I love watching our guys play."
The Tigers have claimed two impressive wins in a row over Hawthorn and St Kilda prompting an outbreak of yellow and black fever amongst Richmond's fans.
Defender Brett Deledio tried to dampen the rising expectations of Richmond fans earlier in the week but Hardwick believes the buzz around the club can help his players.
"It's amazing when the confidence of a group grows, and we're probably no different, that you probably play a little bit outside yourself at stages," Hardwick said.
