watching morris last week .he seemed to be having lots of trouble with his shoulder.wouldnt surprise if he pulled out
Morris stayed out of the main drills, So did Edwards both had easy nights so obvious minor niggles. Griff didn't get out of a canter, ran laps with Kingy and a couple of dinky handball and short kicking skill stuff.
Jackson & Marto spent some time with the main group but were also sent off to do some solid 400's (laps) under the stopwatch so they wern't dawdling.

Dont bet on it, try stopping him :shh

... key defender Ben Griffiths needs to prove his fitness today after being substituted last week against Melbourne with calf tightness.

And didn't see miller for what it's worth, side note Graham is also a spaz at training and another notable looked like batch might get a go up front, he had a few one on ones against dea and owned him

Thought it was just me, Cub. I didn't see Miller, either.

Last week when I took my boy on a visit to the club. We also saw Tommy Derickx, Kel Moore, Gibson Turner and Gideon Simon in that order. Funny how Tommy D got selected last week and now Kel Moore this week! I will buy lotto tickets if Turner gets a game next week!!! Also my boy met a few other players - Nahas, Edwards & Delidio - he was rapt!!

Given his history then it won't be a surprise if we are cautious and don't play him. The fact we lost a mid and the only Thursday night change was to bring in another tall-ish defender is a clue IMV  it wasn't going to be the only change. Moore in for Griffs and Webbs in for the White would at least keep the side the same structurally.

Btw please let Dimma and match committee be joking naming McGuane in the last line of defence  :help. His brainfade(s) in the forward line [eg: handball to Jack] at least don't gift the opposition goals and alter the momentum of the game.

Moore a key for AFL's injury-hit Tigers
Sam Lienert

Richmond feared AFL defender Kelvin Moore might never play again but he's suddenly looming as a key player in his comeback game against Gold Coast in Cairns on Saturday.

A week after losing key defender Dylan Grimes long-term to a hamstring injury, the Tigers might be without another tall backman, the injury-prone Ben Griffiths, for the Cazaly's Stadium clash.

Griffiths was subbed off with calf tightness against Melbourne last round.

While he was named on Thursday night, defensive coach Justin Leppitsch admitted ahead of Friday's final training session that he was not certain to play.

"We still have to wait to do a final test now and see whether he gets up," Leppitsch said.

He added the Tigers would take a very cautious approach, given Griffiths' high rate of previous injuries.

Griffiths did little in the session to suggest he would take his place.

It means the pressure will be on Moore, who was previously a key plank in the Tigers' defence, but has not played at AFL level since 2010 because of a horrific hip injury likened to that of a car crash victim.

"I didn't expect he'd play again, to be perfectly honest. I can say that now that he is playing," Leppitsch said.

"He had such a severe injury.

"But the way he's handled it and come back and played (in the VFL) in the last month has been so good that he's forced his way into the team.

"It's a good news story, it's always great when an older player overcomes a long-term injury to get a game."
