Footy Barometer - Round 21 From: Herald Sun
August 13, 2012 3:40PMRICHMOND[ON THE BLOCK: Like last week, the Tigers are looking fairly settled again. Jayden Post is hanging on by the skin of his teeth and could be the unlucky one ahead of the Fremantle trip, while Brad Helbig is also on the periphery after starting for the sub again yesterday. Ben Griffiths got through the game and should be safe after injury concerns in the second half of the season.
ON THE CUSP: Tigers fans… look away now. Very, very little. In fact, VFL affiliate Coburg could muster just three goals as it fell to lowly Frankston. The Dolphins have won just five VFL games in three years – all against the Tigers. Kelvin Moore was OK but that was about it. If Jake Batchelor passes a fitness test this week he should replace Post.
SAM LANDSBERGER’S FORECAST: Damien Hardwick wants to go out with a bang and win the remaining trio of matches to build on yesterday’s 70-point belting of an awfully green Bulldogs outfit. Chris Newman said the Tigers have taken strides forward this year despite the failure of missing on finals and it’s hard to argue with win against the Hawks and Swans, the revelation of Brandon Ellis and the improvement of Titch Edwards. And if The Trent Cotchin Show from yesterday can have a few sequels the Tigers might just be able to have something to cheer deep in September – him on at Brownlow night.
