Rival clubs are set to lure North Melbourne's Dan Currie and Gold Coast ruckman Daniel Gorringe

GOLD Coast ruckman Daniel Gorringe and North Melbourne's Dan Currie look increasingly likely to find new clubs next year given a lack of opportunities at their existing teams.

Gorringe has just been elevated to the Suns line-up after injuries to talls Zac Smith and Charlie Dixon but is being heavily courted by Adelaide and Victorian clubs.

The 2010 No.10 draft pick was playing at centre half-back and full-back in the Suns' NEAFL side before those injuries, with rivals well aware of his lack of chances at AFL level.

Contract talks seem destined to drift on until season's end.

Gorringe is one of the few key talls at Gold Coast not signed up with Charlie Dixon, Rory Thompson and Zac Smith signing new deals this year and Sam Day and Tom Lynch locked away.

Former Sydney ruckman Currie was the find of the pre-season for North given his hitouts to advantage.

But the Roos opted for Todd Goldstein as its sole ruckman in Round 1, leaving Currie to dominate in the VFL for Werribee for four games before being sidelined with a thumb injury.

Given he is 24 and desperate to make his senior debut after his failed stint at Sydney, clubs are aware he may be tempted to move and he is on a one-year deal.

The Roos have a wealth of ruck options with Drew Petrie and Majak Daw capable of supporting Goldstein and 200cm youngster Ben Mabon waiting in the wings at North Ballarat.

Was Currie the one that ripped us a new bum hole in the pre-season rubbish? If so would jump @ that.

Gorringe was highly rated and would be a good fit.

Still think Lburger would be good suit.

Yep Currie was the one that played against us in the NAB Cup.

Leuenberger has got the talent but his problem is he can't stay on the park. He's very injury prone.

Yes we could have had Jonathan Giles, Daniel Currie, or Jack Hannath, but fine eyes francis has the plan, don't you see?
