gobsmacked.. just cos I call it as it is... Foley has been overrated but if he can make the eagles game bus base then I will be very happy..

Your views are clouded by the fact that the guy has played below par as he has been carrying a lot of injuries. When he has been injury free he has been an absolute line breaker and our best inside extractor. We all know his field kicking can be suspect at times but the other two attributes are so good that you can forgive him for the occasional turn over.
He starred for the Big V and you don't make that side if you are a spud!
His injury last year coincided with our slide down the ladder. If he can maintain his fitness, he will be the catalyst for our rise up the ladder.
The club knows his importance too!

Thus the 3 year contract deal the club has given him..Its a risk given his injuries,but a gold mine if it pays off

good list management would have traded him when he had false currency after  he played  for the big v
