5th vs 8th , recent history.

8th has not beaten 5th in the elimination final since 2008.

There have been quite a few floggings too....West Coast beat North and Crows smashed Drug Cheats both by 96 points.

However 8th beating 5th used to be all the rage early last decade with 8 th winning in 2003,04,05 and 06.

Having said all that....never has there been a 4 game differential between 5 th and 8th ( not that I bothered to do much research )
