Tigers believed to have salary cap room to target a player (H-Sun)
« on: September 11, 2013, 11:16:37 PM »
From the Herald-Sun ....

Despite reports the Tigers are under salary cap pressure, the club is believed to have enough room to target another player in the upcoming exchange period.

Greater Western Sydney midfielder Taylor Adams could be headed home to Victoria and has attracted strong interest from several clubs.

Last year, the Tigers missed out on luring GWS inside midfielder Dom Tyson.

A deal to resign midfielder Dustin Martin is expected to be agreed, while Reece Conca wants to stay.

But the Tigers are adamant they will not compromise their list by paying overs to any player.

Doubt McGuane is on much at all. Wouldn't really free up much space.

Should have trade currency IMO. 20 goals in 12 games isn't terrible for a 3rd tall. Equates to about 37/year from 22 games. Could be a 4-5 year player if picked up by a new club.

Would wish him the best too. I don't blame him for our shortcomings. Just another player with limited talent who gives a proper effort more often than not and has made a good go of his potential.

Trade McGuane to the Lions for Longer and maybe give them a draft pick.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
