We made some good leaps this year and be some teams we had not eaten in the last few years.

On top of winning a final or 2 or 3 or 4 and ultimately finishing higher on the ladder than we have this year I think breaking a hoodoo over a Geelong, Collingwood, Nought and getting the better of Carlton would signify more on field improvement and worthy status of being a final side.

Our window should open next year. We should be aiming for the cup for the next 5-6 years. people saying just finals are accepting mediocrity. We are Richmond ffs we will win the flag

Winning a final. Preferably top 6 again. But IMO Carlton and North will move up next year. Maybe at the expense of Essendon (?asada) and maybe...port?

hmm for me if we are talking ladder position.
anywhere from 12th to 5th. 12th would be very acceptable if we were to have a shocking run with injury and say we cop a hard draw.

i keep on saying it we are are middling teram and it means exactly that. theres about 8 teams 5th thru 12th or more not too far apart.
there are certain parts of our game that if improved on i would consider just as important as making finals again. in fact if we dont improve on em we wont make finals anyway.
we all know what these areas are.

What was Hawthron's aim for 2008 when they won the flag?

To try and beat their bogey side Richmond.  They broke even 1-all so their season was rated as average.

They finished 5th in 2007 and had 2 less wins than we did this year. They won the flag the next year.

We should be aiming for the flag (next year and for the next 5-6 years) , make the boys believe ! We can do it!

reckon C'wood if the make the 8 will be bottom 2 (7th or 8th) but wouldn't be at all surprise if the slide out
