I have been a fan of Mark Graham this season, i think he has been very serviceable down back and done some good jobs.

My problem is when he is played in the forward line as he was for a fair period of the game yesterday(when he was on)

He gives up absolutely nothing when playing forward and may aswell not even be out there. I would rather see Shultz or Pattison playing up forward instead of Graham.

In saying that i am really do rate Graham when he is down back. He along with Newman were instumental in the last qtr as they stopped many of Sydneys attacks. He reads the play so well and also takes a solid grab.

That mark he took on our half forward line when he got crunched late in the last qtr was fantastic yesterday.

He should almost be played as a loose man to float around and drop back in the hole.

I agree, he seems like a very, very good loose man in defence player (ok so does everyone, but IMO his just that little bit better at it then other people), i think him going up forward is just to throw a bit of a spanner into the works, another tallish, mobile option up forward, they'll have to man up on him!

I reckon that part of his role when forward is to lead out and out of the way of Richo (that is go in the other direction to Richo) and take a defender with him. I think he does that well it is just a pity that at times when he is on his own his teammates don't kick it to him istead opting to "kick it to Richo" and the 3 defenders he attracts :banghead
