It looks as though Port may have the cure for acute tigeritis.
Shultz was a victim of the Terry Wallace technical school of who the hell knows what the stuff he's talking about.
Let's face it, Shultz isn't the sharpest tool in the shed & didn't know what he was supposed to do at Tigerland. At Port they made it pretty simple for him, Lead, mark, kick ball through big sticks.
He never would've been anything at Richmond. Only the elite, players that would've been tripple brownlow medalists at say Geelong, have made a name for themselves at Tigerland in a positive way. The rest of them, at any other club would've been serviceable good stars at a club like Geelong but at Richmond they get infected and end up on the crap heap like all the coaches the club has chewed up and spat out.
Good on him though but if he stayed he'd be another Plapp.
