Quarantine
« on: June 01, 2014, 04:47:30 PM »
I am going to quarantine my young bloke from Richmond games, both live and on television.
One son dropped off and got on the saints about 4 years ago because we were poo. I couldn't live with the other son doing it. I wonder how many kids have dropped off this year and how many years in potential memberships and therefore revenue the club is missing out on?

I reckon 2014 has been a real turning point for the club.  The supporters have deadset turned on the administration and rightly so IMHO and from now on I expect Richmond FC will have lower crowds, lower memberships, lower everything... but thats what they deserve, they have treated the supporters like crap for 3 decades taking the pee out of us whilst there all in their laughing there arses off getting paid the big money to do nothing.

Well they can all go jump, I reckon they have the rest of this year to show real intent and bring in real star power recruits or they will be in a deadset crisis down their next year when they lose millions of dollars in revenues from lost memberships and contributions from the supporters.

let the kids follow & barrack for whoever they want. They are kids for Geez sake.
l never pushed any of mine to follow me. 1 went Essendon, 1 went Collingwood & 1 went Richmond. When they get older they go off with their friends & its more disappointment for you. the grand children l think follow Geelong & Essendon but who cares. just makes it more fun to taunt them  ;D

I agree the Benny Gale/ March regime realised the gravity of the situation post Wallace and could sense the fans had seen enough heartache.

The regime looked upon the fans to help the club out of their own pockets to fund the debt demolition and other projects and the fans obliged.

It only seems we were good enough to achieve this whilst the on field replenishment stagnated and the off field coaching staff were only happy to do a job and take kudos for a job half done.

Clearly not good enough. The fans are speaking and the club is in trouble. All the work of the past four years has come crashing down and has turned to dust in 10 weeks and has been exposed as fraudulent much like the Fraudulent Tiger Farce us fans footed the bill for.

have to agree with Monky ... people should let their kids barrack for whoever they want. Dont set them up for a miserable life as a Richmond supporter because thats what there lives will be on weekends...miserable.

I have a 3 month old and don't have to worry about this for a while but would prefer her to follow another sport than another AFL team. I'd be happy to take her to Melbourne Victory games or Storm or Vixons games than take her to an Essendon game or Carlton game supporting them.

I'd want to spend time with her, dunno how anyone could do it if they went for Bombers, Blues, Pies or Roos. Could handle it if she barracked for anyone else. I'd go to Cats, Hawks, Saints games with her or any interstate teams. Not any filth team. Have to have some filter surely?

I have mate, that's why he barracks for the saints. I actually buy him a membership for them as I believe you should be a member not just a fan. However, my other son is a tiger through and through and I hate seeing him beginning to accept that we will lose. Just like the players have.
I have never, and never will, force my kids to do anything.
However, I will shield my kids from things to protect them. Things like porn, graphic violence, substance abuse and Richmond games.

No joke. Other clubs have premiership windows. I expect our finals window to be open 2023-25.

Roll on the 5th v 8th Elimination final in 2023.

I hope it's at Pattersons.
