Your favourite Tiger Goal of 2014?
« on: September 17, 2014, 02:09:20 PM »
The RFC website has a list of the top 10 Tiger goals of season 2014.

Which one was your favourite?

1. Brandon Ellis (R2 Q1 vs Carl) - snap across the body from 50m out on the boundary that floats through for a miracle goal.

2. Brandon Ellis (R2 Q2 vs Carl) - deja vu but at the Ponsford end this time.

3. Dustin Martin (R2 vs Carl) - Dusty outsmarts Zach Tuohy one-on-one inside 50 and dribbles it through for the sealer.

4. Nathan Foley (R10 vs GWS) - Axel bursts out of the centre, sidesteps an oncoming Giants defender and dobs it from 50m.

5. Trent Cotchin (R18 vs WCE) - Cotch volleys it through soccer-style from an acute angle in the wet at Subiaco.

6. Dustin Martin (R20 vs Ess) - Dusty dodges a couple of Bomber defenders in the forward pocket, swings around on his right and snaps it through the big sticks.

7. Jack Riewoldt (R20 vs Ess) - Jack beats two Bomber defenders in the marking contest and in the same motion, snaps it through on his left.

8. Trent Cotchin (R21 vs Adel) - Cotch roves the stoppage 25m out and snaps a classy goal across his body in one motion.

9. Ben Griffiths (R22 vs St K) - Griffs gathers in the ball deep in the pocket and bananas it through on the run.

10. Brett Deledio (R23 vs Syd) - At full pace, Lids fights and keeps the footy moving towards the Tiger goals then, while still under pressure, gathers and snaps a beauty.

What about Dusty Round 23 v Swans which won us the game? It wasn't as freakish as some but IMO there were few more important goals this year.

What happened to that one?

Whilst it wasn't a goal I really liked the passage of play where Dustin had to hold off 3 EFC players then the ball made its way to Gordon just a second too late on what would've been a serious contender for goal of the year

Owl Not sure if you Melbourne folk are aware of the most epic fail of all-time where on MMM a few years ago good old Mark from Greenacre who to go in a draw for a motorbike was asked to spell ACDC....And couldn't spell it after numerous attempts  :lol

He thought it was a trick question.

What about our state objective to accelerate our free agency strategy into this year?
I remember Dan Richardson raising that mid year, how is that goal going?
