Brett Deledio on MMM
« on: February 28, 2015, 04:37:56 PM »
Lids just interviewed pre-game on MMM by Brown & Jake King.

* We didn't focus too much on the finals losses over the preseason in terms of what we needed to do to go further. It was more about the gameplan and the need to improve our consistency over 4 quarters. We've beaten Hawthorn in recent years and Sydney who have been grand finalists but then lost games we should've won. We've also gained more experience. We're still learning as a team. When we were 3-10, we had a games average of 67 which was back to what it was when Dimma started. The good experienced teams have an average of 100 games.

* McBean is training well and getting stronger. Lids said he'd like Beany to get bigger as well but that takes time with the 200cm types. They don't really peak until their mid 20s. Hopefully, Beany attacks the game and takes his opportunities when he gets the chance. He's got heaps of tricks at ground level for a big bloke.

* Pumped up Miles and Grigg as the guys that get us going aside from the the leaders like Cotch & Dusty who are missing today.
