I'm not shattered, been waiting for something more consistently successful since the farce of round 1 2009.
While there have been glimmers here and there, we are nothing more than a mid table side - much like the Demons team under Neale Daniher.
The one positive with the club is that it's off field organisation and impact has been impressive with continued profits, improved facilities and a much more professional approach in managing emotional subjects like player contracts.
The downside is the non fact based faith put into key personnel who are responsible for on field results.
I'd still argue we are a couple of key appointments (on and off field) away from taking the next step. Until then, I'm not invested enough to be inevitably let down and so I watch out of loyalty and the enjoyment of catching up with mates for a weekend beer to leverage my long held social amnesty with the missus.
So, until there is something genuinely elite about our playing list, coaching, playing development and conditioning - I'll be going along and barracking but not putting myself through the angst of "hoping" I'm missing something
