It'll be interesting to see if McIntosh especially and Lennon get any votes in the Rising Star award.

Round 1
Kamdyn McIntosh (Richmond)

DOB: 3/4/1994
Height: 192cm
Weight: 91kg
Junior clubs: Pinjarra (WA)/Peel Thunder (WAFL)
2015 games: 22
Goals: 7
Kicks: 232
Marks: 90
Handballs: 106

McIntosh had tongues wagging in his debut when he burnt off Chris Judd and kicked a brilliant goal against Carlton. The Tiger played every game this season and established himself in a side that knocked off most of the top teams.

Round 22
Ben Lennon (Richmond)

DOB: 5/7/1995
Height: 188cm
Weight: 84kg
Junior club: Macleod (Vic)/Northern U18
2015 games: 9
Goals: 6
Kicks: 151
Marks: 44
Handballs: 28

Lennon's marking and a beautiful right boot have held him in good stead this year. His size and ability to win the ball in the contest means he will eventually become a strong inside midfielder who can push forward.

Only Jennifer Phelan is tipping McIntosh to get a vote.

"Miller, Saad, Lever, De Goey and Thurlow also scored votes."

So not a single vote for either McIntosh or Lennon.

I'm not too fussed. It's a marathon, not a sprint. If we were to go with the 2010 Rising Star award for example, the top 5 in order are

Hannebery, Scully, Rockliff, Jack Trengove, Bastinac.

In that same year, Fyfe was 7th, and Naitanui was 8th.

I think Lennon could be a solid A grader for us with a few more seasons/preseasons under his belt and I think McIntosh has the build and stamina to be a very sevicable 150gamer for us.

well Nat fyfe at 1.9 metres was originally drafted as a 3rd tall in the forward line or something like that and he kinda surprised everybody when it turned out he was a ridiculously damaging inside midfielder.

I'm not saying Lennon could be the same but I don't think Lennon is incapable of adding inside midfield work to his skillset to help the team out.
