What research tells us:Richmond, Cranbourne, Narre Warren
Richmond supporters live mostly in Richmond , Cranbourne and Narra Warren.
They vote Labor.
Tigers fans spend their dough on homewares, decorative goods and love to keep fit in the gym.
They also fancy themselves as musical artists and spend big on DJ equipment.
What stereotypes tell us:Richo’s fabled tendency to miss golden opportunities in front of goal represents the broader Richmond fan affliction: We could have had that.
A Richmond supporter is the colleague who always tries to convince you, and themselves, that this is the year.
A Richmond supporter is the fan who goes mental at the end of the season — every season — and cuts their scarf up with craft scissors, only to stitch it back together again the following March and line up for another few months of heartache.
Meanwhile, only old stories about Jack Dyer get them through.
The trendier Richmond gets, the more out of place they seem.
