I know Browny only played 10 games so Mike would argue that's why he was left out but to not have Browny in the top 50 players this year is ridiculous ::).

31 - S. Baker (StK)

Fair enough that Brett Kirk is in that list as a midfield tagger as he actually gets plenty of footy himself but Stephen Baker with 13.3 avg disposals in the top 50 players in the AFL :o :help. I'd bet if Baker hadn't shared the Saints B&F a couple of nights ago Mike wouldn't have put him in.

Dustin Fletcher (only 17 games) and Wakelin are also questionable IMO. I would include Tucky but that's me probably being biased although his midfield stats this year are up with the elites of the comp.

Apart from that a reasonable list from Mike this time around.

Interesting that Bowden makes All-Australian but does not make Mike's top 50.

Tuck should definitely be on the list.

Leo Barry no.11? LMFAO. Farrk, ok, it was an important mark, but let's not over do it.

If Steven Baker is in the top 30 odd players of the comp the AFL has massive issues.

Luke Ball is overrated for mine. Wouldn't have him in the top 10. Wirrpunda is way too high as well.

Tredrea and Akermanis too low.

Interesting perspective JFK, would think that Luke Hodge as an outside HBF is over-rated when compared to Ball.

Would agree with you DT, that slipped my attention. I wouldnt have Hodge in the top 15 and maybe even not top 20.

Hodge doesn't really like applied accountable and physical pressure from a slightly taller opponent, likes the easy one drifting pass, although his hard ball get stats (mainly at stoppages) are a surprise.

Agree JFK top 25 and rising with leadership potential from him, cos he certainly aint getting it from the coaching panel.

I don't reckon Ball is overrated but he had an absolute shocker in the PF against the Swans. Mind you apart from Dal Santo so did many of his Saint teammates.

Hodge led most stats in the AFL for a midfielder but the way Hawthorn prefer collecting cheap short and wide disposals to actually winning games makes it easier to rake up stats.

I still wouldn't mind both in a Tiger guernsey though 8).
