Yes, almost as much as beginning a sentence with got.....

Reckon they might dust off the 17 for someone delicious ...
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Reckon they wont

Under the Dimma way all draftees get a high number and have to "earn" the right to wear a lower number

Can't see that changing

And in this case in particular I hope it doesn't, let the kid settle in, develop. Enough pressure on him with his surname as it is

I hope for the best with Daniel, i think he was the best available for what our needs are. We definitely lack that high pressure, crumbing and creative fwd. But gee that name of his brings all types of expectations. Comparisons can be quiet damaging (Tambling anyone?). Hopefully the club comes out on the front foot and lowers expectations of him playing next year.

I think he has had the perfect pathway into the system though. Very similar to Cyril, albeit he went to Scotch. Athletically he is already elite, has all the tools to make his own name in the AFL.

While everyone would like to see young Rioli in #17, if the Club sticks to the usual script then the numbers for the newbies will be:

31. Rioli
35. Markov
36. Broad

I know it won't happen, but the nostalgia in seeing a Rioli in the no.17 jumper would make some of us old timers reminisce the glory days of his great uncle. It's as almost as if that jumper somehow bestows some sort of magic onto a Rioli. Even Maurice was not the same player when he returned in the number 27 jumper.

Yep even though I'm racist because I boo Goodes, Maurice Rioli is my favourite player of all time.  Would love to see Daniel in the 17.

In other numbers revealed by the Tigers, draftee Oleg Markov will wear the No. 31 vacated by Nick Vlastuin, who has moved into the No. 1 jumper.

Fellow draftee Nathan Broad will wear the No. 35 jumper vacated by Ben Lennon, who now has No. 7.

Rookies Callum Moore (No. 36), Mabior Chol (No. 41) and Adam Marcon (No. 44) have also been handed their numbers, with the Tigers' list now complete.
