Which software program do i need.....

to edit my DVDs'?

I need to access one scene and have it as seperate footage so i can
use just that portion in a presentation.
I use DVD shrink to get it onto my hard drive but it doesn't have options to do the above.

I haven't got a clue mate.  I think I heard somewhere that you can isolate certain files with DVD decryptor but I haven't done it and don't know if it actually works.

DVD Shrink also allows you to re-author your DVD. You can make your own compilation from one or more source DVDs, or select only the parts of a DVD which you intend to view, thus preserving more space on your backup for the highest quality viewing.

mihgt try this.....just gotta find out how.

I use a program called DVD2One, i use this to compress my movies while "backing them up"

When you get into the second screen for this program where you select the source file and destination folder, you can also choose a copy mode. If you select movie only then go to the next screen you can then select the file which will contain all of the chapters. Select next again and then it comes up with all of the chapters and they all have an individual tick box. If you untick them all and just select the one scene you want "penetration scene" then go next again it should just copy the scene you are after and you can then burn it.

I havent tried it before but it should work.

However..........
I cracked a way to do it with DVD shrink and it's as easy as.
iles" option on the top left corner of the software browser.
Here 'tis.

1) - Open DVD shrink 

2) - If u have "Backed Up" your DVD already, simply go the "Open Files" option situated in the top left corner of the program toolbar.
If u haven't backed up yet then I suggest you fukken do it and make sure you know where you save them to.

3) - Once you have opened the files via the above method,click on the "Re-Author" option,again located in the program toolbar (Hi-lighted in red) and make sure u have the "DVD Browser" Tab selected.
 



4) - Double click on the chapter or title that contains the "money shot" you want
This will open the footage in the screen[ (see "Ox Does Austria")

Dont worry about the menus and other crap that you'll see.
You only want the climatic rodgering.

NOW...THIS IS WHERE THE GENIUS BEGINS

Click on the icon as in the picture below.



This will in turn open the following sub-window



Now it's just a matter of sliding the start frame slider to the position of the clip where your chosen, "Jam Jive" begins and the end frame slider to where you want it to end.

You can do this visually as the screen in the sub-window allows you to "scrub" to your chosen point of entry or exit

You can use the arrow buttons to get a more accurate start and finish.

Now it's just a matter of hitting the back up button in the top toolbar.
U dont need to burn it to DVD as it will store the files on your C drive.
