The H-Sun reckons it could be $275k over 2 years.

What do you guys think we should offer him?

$275k over two years sounds like a good deal for us for the best kid in the land and probably already one of our best players.
Sign him up now  :yep

$275k over 2 years seems reasonable enough.

I wonder if Lids starts the year well whether we'll bung it up to 3 years.

The approach of player managers generally seems to depend on a player’s age, ability and worth on the open market.  And, in this case, you’d think the terms would be driven by them, rather than the Club.  I may be proven wrong, but given all that, I’d be thinking his management would more than likely opt for a 2 year deal.

I actually raised this very question on the other Lids thread

Makes you wonder when they start talking contract extension?

Which brings me to the next obvious question - how long do yuo make that next contract?

Personally I'd be looking at a 3 year deal

I reckon we'd offer 3 years but the kid may only be interested in a 2 year deal. It also depends alot on what the manager is saying too IMO

According to the Hun, the doggies have signed up Griffen for another two years so I guess that'll be now the going rate for Lids' new deal.

I think it may be $275,000 a year for 2 years. Its a good and fair deal for both sides.

If that's $400 in total then that'd be a bargain for us. In his 5th year (2009) when he's reached his prime and still only paying him only $133k per year. On the other hand if that's $400 per year that would put him up in Browny's league or higher. He's gunna be good but he hasn't nowhere reached that level yet to be offered that kind of money.

I'd rather that X than paying a young player purely on his potential and above his value to the team on the park as we did with Otto amongst others for so many years :-\.

Its outrageous that players like Krakouer get 200+ and we all want Deledio on the cheap. $275k a year is right. and good luck to him.

If Krak can consistently produce matchwinning matches, like the one against Sydney last year then his pricetag can be justified
