Trading with GC
« on: September 24, 2016, 05:03:01 PM »
Bit unique in that GC will want a stack of ready made players and have a heap of draft picks to shop around. They are in absolute crises.

What does RFC have a heap of? Over tried B and C Graders. I wonder how many we can ship over to GC for some draft picks. We will already be dealing with the over Prestia deal. Would love to hand over some B grade talent to acquire something in the 2nd round.

GC Picks: 5, 10, 21, 23, 24, 26

In a great position to acquire some talent especially with the picks in the 20s. Would love to see a Griffiths, Grigg, Astbury, Houli, Grimes type player to be thrown around to see if we could pinch any of those picks. Think GC would definitely be interested in Astbury or Grimes. Houli would definitely command a 2nd rounder.

We can't look at improving the list with one pick in the top 40 picks of the draft especially when we are trying to acquire Prestia via a trade. We 100% need to accept that we will be moving on some players this trade period. Absolute must.

Like the thinking but I wonder if it would be possible to get Prestia AND draft picks from Goldy without number 6 somehow finding its way north as well.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Ellis houli and grigg for prestia and pick 26.  GC may be desperate and stupid enough to do it.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?
