I saw this on BF listing last year's Friday Night Football ratings.
We scored a top 20 rating for our one and only
FNF game last year against the Dees (about the only good thing to come out of that match
). Out of the 12 FNF games b/w two Vic clubs, our game was one of only three that made the top 20. Pretty good effort as the Dees don't have a huge supporter base.
The Pies had 6 FNF matches
but only two of them reached the top 20 while similarly the Bombers only had one of their four FNF games in the top 20. So much for the argument that they rate no matter how they are going on-field.
OzTam weekly ratings reports list the Top 20 rating programs nationally each week. Friday Night Football makes the Top 20 regularly. Accross the country you need roughly 1.3 million viewers for a show to make the Top 20. Some weeks were Non-Ratings weeks (i.e. no numbers available) and some weeks FNF didnt make it (so no figures again)
