Glyn Hewitt & Robbie McGhie

I was lucky enought obtain a copy of the 1973 Grand final Souvenir edition of the Herald from a guy at work last week.

It contains a team photo of Richmond and Glyn Hewitt appears in it.

I was showing another guy from work and he is a fair bit older than myself, he tells me that he has heard rumours that Hewitt was punched up in the Punt Road Carpark one night by McGhie and that basically made up Hewitts mind and he soon after returned to SA.

Can anyone cofirm or deny this story or have they heard something similar?

There was a story doing the rounds at the time, Hewiit was a bit of a squib anyway(Like father like son ) Its very possible you are on the money there
