Out with soreness
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I saw that on Instagram also. Not a bad idea resting him. The midfield will need to lift to cover his absence but Ross is a good kid. Kinda a clone of dusty in many ways

Dustin Martin has been ruled out of Sunday afternoon’s match with Carlton at the MCG, with promising youngster Jack Ross coming in to take his place.

Martin will miss the clash with soreness.

Ryan Garthwaite will replace Ross as an emergency for the match.

We better not lose this one / I’m not one to gloat but we’ve had a great run of wins against the cheats they are so bloody arrogant I even seem to cop it when they are only competitive let alone the crap I cop when they use to beat us  (I’m not even going to mention ‘13 which I’m not over yet)
Unlike those idiots I don’t carry on like we’ve just won the premiership when we win but I do thoroughly enjoy the wins against them a lot more than beating any other team.
That’s the reason the losses hurt so much more when it’s against those bloody cheating scum.

We better not lose. It’s really a major carry on with so many extended family members it’s not funny.

I really hope it buckets down. 10 goal win will be awesome.
The club that keeps giving.

Big period coming up so I’m happy they are resting Dusty.

I think this year has shown more than anything else, we are not a one (or few) man side.

Ross comes in but the reality is we have about 8 players than rotate through the middle.

I love seeing the likes of Bolton, Stack, Edwards, Graham and even George rotating through the centre- it makes us unpredictable to the opposition and makes them change their usual set ups/match ups.
I think this will play a massive part from here on in this year.

We really are a completely different side to that of 2017.
And I still think our best footy is in front of us

General soreness?
Yep.

According to The Age:

Richmond have given Dustin Martin the chance to freshen up ahead of the finals, withdrawing him from the match against Carlton with general soreness.

The Tigers' star has missed just one game this season and has been returning to vintage form in recent weeks however the resilient 28-year-old has carried a heavy load throughout the season.

Gotta love when we don’t even have to have our best player on the paddock and can afford the luxury to rest him

McIntosh is the carry-over 23rd man.
