The trendy pad which became a regular hang-out spot for AFL champion Dustin Martin to chill and watch Netflix in recent seasons has been snapped up for $1.65million.

Former Richmond Tigers teammate Luke McGuane has finally sold his four-bedroom South Melbourne home after the property spent six months on the market.

McGuane, 32, who played 112 AFL games for the Tigers and Brisbane Lions before he retired in 2015, has lived there with his blue American staffy Kai for the last two years after he paid $1.62million for the home in late 2016.

He said the Dorcas Street home has been great for entertaining and has frequently hosted many of his former Tigers and Lions teammates there, including the 2017 Brownlow and Norm Smith Medallist Martin.

'I've had heaps of teammates over. Brent Moloney from Brisbane, when he comes down to Melbourne, he stays with me,' McGuane told Property Insiders earlier this year.

'And Dustin Martin — we run into each other in the area all the time, catch up at cafes in Albert Park, or go to his place or my place to watch movies or Netflix.'

Described as cutting edge, the Victorian period home still has some of its charming original features, including a traditional arched hallway with high ceilings.

The modern and spacious kitchen is equipped with stonetop benches and the latest Smeg appliances.

The expansive living and dining room boasts a gas pebble fireplace, which open up to a private tropical north-facing garden backyard oasis where McGuane has done plenty of entertaining.

There's two downstairs double bedrooms and a designer bathroom, while the second story consists two additional double bedrooms with north-facing balcony which have city views and a stylish bathroom/ensuite.

The home was listed for $1.4-$1.5million where it entered the market earlier this year.

The price soared to as high as $1.75 million after it was passed in at auction before real estate agent Greg Hocking Holdsworth recently found a buyer keen to move in into the area.

Now a Melbourne law firm co-owner, McGuane plans to find a smaller home in the area near Albert Park and Port Melbourne.

McGuane has entertained many of his old Tigers and Lions teammates in this modern kitchen

Born in Queensland, McGuane made his AFL debut for the Tigers in 2005 after being selected as the number 36 pick in the 2004 national draft.

He was delisted by the Tigers after 105 games at the end of the 2013 season.

McGuane played seven AFL games for the Brisbane Lions before a knee injury brought his career to a premature end in 2015.

Not getting any father/sons from these 2 if they're doing the Netflix and chill with each other.
