Anyway, rewatching that game now you can see we were still working on and transitioning to what is now our gameplan. Some of the elements were there at times such the manic pressure and structuring up behind the ball to force intercepts and repeat F50s. However, we were still trying to play two tall forwards with Elton
. It left us effectively a man down on field and very inefficient going inside 50. No surprise Elton was never seen again after this game.
ps. It was also a reminder of how brilliant Rance was.
