Absolute garbage.

Tiger army is ten times as loud.

Sounds like a GCS gathering. Their crowds would probably fit during COVID.

Think they said that they're keeping the volume low because they still want to hear everyone talking and the sounds of the game which is one the few advantages for broadcasters of having no crowds ...if that's the case then why bother at all? :shh

NRL Broadcasters did the artificial noise this week

Not a fan

They also cardboard fan cutouts too

Has to be better than the soulless imitation of a Tigers game we were forced to endue in the first round. Our games are always incredibly exciting because of the atmosphere and volume of noise. The players feed off it too. I know bottled noise can never compare with the real thing but without it, the game seems like a local amateur hitout.

Not a fan. Reminds me of when they used to used to put artificial fan noise in music videos.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but still not a fan of it.

Found it annoying hearing an umps whistle when the ball was in the the air ... first couple of times I thought it was actually in the game  :-\

The background crowd noise through the game was worthwhile.  But the lack of accentuation for key moments (tackles, big marks etc) was missing.  The cheer after a score felt more artificial, I think because it came after the goal was scored as opposed to in anticipation of it being scored.

Overall, not as seamless as the NRL coverage which I expected but there are things for Ch7 to work on.  Interesting to see how Fox Footy go with their turn,

Round two was much better than the soulless coverage of round one.
The crowd noise and cgi tarps made it feel more normal.
