Paul Gough

* About where we were expected to be at 2-3. Positives - Looking good as we could have lost first 4 games. Rainesy is special. Disappointments - Thursfield's knee, Browny not being ready and the belting by the dogs.

* Gough is a big fan of clash jumpers. Happy with just the reverse strip vs Essendon. Also find West Coast difficult.

* Knobel in consideration this week. Depends if we want another tall in the side.

* Telstra home games - 45,000 at Dome = 55,000 at 'G in terms of $$$ return according to another club's CEO. Dome contract requires a certain number of games played there. If all MCG tenants played 11 homes games at the 'G then the AFL wouldn't be able to abide by the Dome contract. We just need to learn to win there.

* Injuries have exposed our KP depth especially down back. Goughy said that's the area we need to concentrate on in the upcoming draft.

* Tambling coming along nicely. Fan of Jacko also. He was stiff to be dropped. Goughy must read OER. We need to get 40-50 games into our young guys but they have to earn their spot by forcing out the senior blokes.

* Our forward line needs to become more efficient. 67-46 inside 50's should equate to a 8-9 goal win. Kick-ins were excellent on Friday night.

* These days you have to be able run and be able to kick. If more senior players still can't hit targets they will be moved on and replaced by younger blokes. It takes time to do this though. That's why Wallace was given a 5 year contract.

* Essendon has played well in their last 3 games but they haven't be able to get across the line. They've lost 4 in a row by a combined total of 47 points. Going to be a tough game. We need to run all day like we did last year against them.

Btw Billy hung it on Gas - said we won't win another game with Gas in the side lol. Rod from Dromana has Rainesy for the Brownlow.

Paul Armstrong

* Pleased with how we ran and moved the ball to inside 50. Goalkicking was the main blight as we could have won comfortably.

* Hall's ankle is fine. Sugar also looks right to play after his scan.

* Up for selection from Coburg - Polo, Knobel, Jackson

* Players enjoying the longish break.

* Coburg vs Bendigo at Coburg City Oval on Sunday.
