Every team’s Round 5 performance analysed and graded in foxfooty.com.au’s Report Card.
RICHMONDLet’s stay in the present first: hard to be too unhappy with that one. The Tigers looked pretty slick at times against Melbourne, running out 27-point winners and getting an important win before they head into their interstate hub. Now let’s be real: hard to be too happy with that injury list. Damien Hardwick will be without up to seven members of his best side in Queensland; not ideal.
In the votesAccording to the Official AFL Player Ratings, it was Kane Lambert’s best ever game - and he’s had a few crackers in the past. Lambert finished with 27 disposals, three goals, six marks, five clearances and eight score involvements; in shortened quarters, remember. Crazy good. Jack Higgins was also tremendous, with 19 touches, eight score involvements, 10 contested possessions and a goal.
Room for improvementThis was a very even performance from the Tigers, with six players having their best games of the season and everyone chipping in to overcome a limited bench due to all of their midgame injury blows.
