Tigers' Mad Monday
« on: September 02, 2024, 01:18:41 AM »
Richmond players headed to the Rising Sun Hotel, but the celebrating wouldn't have been boisterous given the Tigers 'won' the wooden spoon this season.

They were victorious in just two games this year, and won't be able to call on Dustin Martin in 2025, after the champion midfielder retired with immediate effect earlier this month.

Despite constant rumours linking Martin to the Gold Coast Suns, the three-time premiership winner hung up his boots at Punt Rd as a one-club player.

Players were attended the Rising Sun included Tom Lynch, Toby Nankervis, Tim Taranto, Hugo Ralphsmith, Samson Ryan and Kamdyn McIntosh.

Celebrations by those at the same pub were labelled 'fun' and 'low key.'

Kane Cornes didn't let Adelaide or Richmond get away with their Mad Monday outfits this year.

Yep. Having a nap.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
