Sheesh that's a young side! 5 teenagers  :o and a bench that's just out of nappies when you see Foley is the oldest and experienced one. Hopefully they don't get overawed and they just all enjoy being out there together playing their natural game. One thing is we won't be a slow side on Saturday night.

Happy with the changes. We smartly didn't risk Gas or Sugar and Rodan had to be dropped.

Sauce on the money again  :thumbsup

Now if only we could get Danny Meyer to fire up and take Krakouers spot then wed be well on the way i reckon. Imagine nabbing 2 early picks in the draft and sticking Thorp and Hansen at FB and CHB...youd could almost start to smell some silverware down the track with that group of youngsters. Jackson in would also be good.

Bombers' side. Gone for height up forward to stretch our defence. We need to run them off their feet.

IN: Courtney Johns, Scott Camporeale, Dean Rioli, Jason Laycock

Going by BB, Johns is coming back from a broken rib in just 2 weeks so he must be doubtful unless he wants to cop a gentle elbow from Razor. Camporeale is no certainty either. Sheeds is playing games.

Courtney Jones is a dud.

Razor could do the job on him.

Johns also has a short fuse - we need some to get inside his head so he gives away stupid frees as well as have some one who can run off him  :thumbsup

Two changes for Dreamtime clash
6:28:59 PM Thu 4 May, 2006
Exclusive to richmondfc.com.au

Richmond is set to unveil two debutants - Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls and Dean Polo - for its 'Dreamtime' clash against Essendon at the MCG on Saturday night, but the Tigers have lost skipper Kane Johnson with a hamstring injury.

Richmond football manager Paul Armstrong said the club is thrilled to be giving two emerging youngsters an opportunity on the big stage.

"It'll be great and it'll be terrific for Dean, who has played really well and Jarrad is our first pick from last year, so he gets an opportunity in the 'Dreamtime' game, which means a lot to him, because he'll join the other indigenous guys - Richard (Tambling) and Andrew (Krakouer), so he's absolutely thrilled that he's in," Armstrong told richmondfc.com.au.

"Dean's form has been fantastic. A couple of weeks ago, he played on (Lance) 'Buddy' Franklin against Box Hill and played very well at centre half-back of all places, because they (Polo and Oakley-Nicholls) are both midfielders, so they'll both play their first game."

Armstrong said Johnson was eager to play against Essendon, but added that it was a risk to play him.

"Kane Johnson will miss a week with a hammy. He was very close and he was very keen himself to push through training tomorrow and get there, but we thought it was not quite right, but he'll certainly be right for the following week," Armstrong said.

Stafford will have to play well to hold his spot with Knobel breathing down his neck.

Nice to see Oakley-Nicholls in the side, good luck son.

Agree DC about Staff. He needs play close to the level he did against the Lions. Isn't it great that there's now pressure for spots in the team and the senior players need to play well to justify their place.

Apparently Johns and Camporeale will play for the Bombers but Rioli is out.
