In: Vlaustin
Out: Aarts

Edwards back to half forward for Vlaustin. Aarts had one shot at goal and 0 tackles. Rioli had 4 shots and 4 tackles.
Possibly Caddy out for Ross, straight swap as sub.

I rate Pickett’s hardness. Blokes avoid him.

Agree. Acknowledge we have to take the miss kicks here but his closing speed and hardness at the ball is top notch. I want him in the team.

Caddy has to make way, he has become an "accumulator" a type of player Hardwick has said we have no place in our game style for.

Struggled on many occasions to put pressure on the Hawthorn players with the ball and sometimes just plain gave up on the chase preferring to just jog.

With the speed of the game the position of wing just doesn't suit his skillset.

Tigers’ selection headache looms

Richmond could regain its Grand Final 22 with the availability of star duo.

TIGERS

B: D.Astbury, D.Grimes, N.Balta

HB: L.Baker, S.Edwards, J.Short

C: K.McIntosh, T.Cotchin, J.Caddy

HF: J.Aarts, S.Bolton, J.Castagna

F: T.Lynch, D.Martin, J.Riewoldt

FOLL: T.Nankervis, D.Prestia, K.Lambert

I/C: N.Broad, J.Graham, N.Vlastuin, B.Houli

Team Tips: Richmond is set for have a selection conundrum with coach Damien Hardwick confirming defenders Nick Vlastuin and Bachar Houli are set to be available for the game against Sydney. Marlion Pickett would appear likely to be the man that falls out of the side, but the other exclusion is far from certain. Dan Rioli slotted four behinds in the game, while Jake Aarts was quiet with just one goal from five touches. One of the two small forwards might well be the medical sub.

In: Vlastuin, Houli
Out: Pickett, Ross
Sub: Rioli

In the Mix: Round 3

RICHMOND

The Tigers are set to welcome back Nick Vlastuin after he missed Sunday's win over Hawthorn with a knee complaint from round one. Richmond will also strongly consider bringing Bachar Houli straight back into the senior line-up, although coach Damien Hardwick signalled that the three-time premiership half-back could also have one VFL hit-out before resuming. In what is a very healthy Tigers squad there's going to be at least one unlucky player to make way for Vlastuin, with Marlion Pickett potentially on the fringe while Jake Aarts was quiet last week.

R2 medical sub: Jack Ross (unused)

Verdict: Vlastuin for Pickett.
