Multiple clubs are reportedly circling Richmond tall Mabior Chol

The Herald Sun is reporting that Gold Coast is one of five clubs that have shown interest in Chol who comes out of contract at season’s end.

The 24-year-old ruck-forward has played just 21 games since debuting for the Tigers in 2016 and is yet to feature at AFL level this season.

Chol made 11 senior appearances last season and featured in Richmond’s Qualifying Final loss to Brisbane.

The fringe Tiger is averaging 14 possessions, 14 hit-outs and 1.6 goals a game in the VFL this year.

It is understood that Chol’s eagerness to play senior footy could force him out of Richmond if he fails to break into their best 22 this year.

Chol’s manager Ralph Carr confirmed to The Herald Sun that there was interest in him from multiple clubs.

No loss for me no heart, doesn't use his body and goes missing what's the point we see a flash in the pan here and there.

Should we just make the suns out VFL affiliate team?

We take their best players and they take our fringe players.....

Had his papers stamped after a howler in last year’s QF
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Most frustrating is Mabs. For a big bloke his bouts of soft and lazy 'efforts' not attacking the footy makes us all want to do this ->  :banghead. Chol has the physical attributes to be a regular in our best 22 but mentally is so inconsistent it isn't funny. The difference between his best and worst (i.e. park footballer) is a chasm. The past two weeks in the VFL is the footballer he needs to be which is probably why he is getting interest from other clubs but he has rarely shown it in the seniors when he's been given the opportunity.

Just an update on the teams chasing Mabior Chol after the story yesterday. Clubs are offering three-year deals on reasonable money. Gold Coast one of them. The Tigers' hopes of keeping him are dwindling. They love him, just can't guarantee games

What is Chol worth in the market? Surely we’re not going to give him away for a can of Coke and chips like we did Butler and Markov.
I’d be requesting a 2nd rounder from the Good Coast. I think that seems fair - a pick in the late 20’s early 30’s.
Thoughts??

The guy was taken as a rookie selection and after 5 years has managed only 20 games and is still on our rookie list. Will be a fourth rounder at best and that’s fair.

3 years!

We should be looking to sabotage a club. Maybe Cats, since they seem to have no real ruckman. Chol might do a Vickery job like down at Hawthorn.

I'd be trying Mabs at CHB or FB in the 2s.
